ABSTRACT

This study aims to determine the extent to which response manure and NPK compound fertilizer on growth and yield of baby cucumbers.
The research was arranged in a factorial Randomized block design, consisted of two factors, namely: provision of manure (P) with three levels of treatments and compound fertilizer with three levels of treatment .. Each treatment combination was repeated three times and each treatment combination consisted of two plant samples.
The first factor is the dose of manure with three levels, namely: P1: 2 kg / plant, P2: 3 kg / plant, and P3: 4 kg / plant. The second factor is the dose of NPK compound fertilizer with three levels, namely: M 1: 10 grams / plant, M2: 20 grams / plant and M 3: 30 grams / plant. Thus obtained nine treatment combinations.
The result of statistical analysis showed that there is no interaction on the combination treatment of manure and NPK compound fertilizer on all parameters observed. Treatment of manure and NPK compound fertilizer on the plant long age of three weeks and four weeks after planting showed no significant difference, while at the age of five weeks after planting, manure application showed significant differences. Treatment of manure and NPK compound fertilizer on leaf number three and five weeks of age were not significantly different, at the age of four weeks was significantly different. Treatment of manure and NPK compound fertilizer on fruit weight and fruit diameter was not significantly different, while the number of fruit and fruit length was significantly different. Average length of plant, leaf number, fresh fruit weight, fruit number, fruit diameter and length of the largest fruit was obtained by treatment of 4 kg of manure / plant (P3), and treatment of NPK compound fertilizer with a dose of 30 grams / plant.
